Nimbus — Compact Ebike
An internal ZÆT compact ebike concept that doesn't compromise on aesthetics or integration quality.
Nimbus is an internal ZÆT concept — a compact urban ebike developed to explore a specific design question: what does a compact ebike look like when it's designed to feel premium rather than small? The compact ebike category is dominated by products that make their compactness obvious — visible compromises in geometry, integration, and material quality that signal 'folded down' rather than 'purpose-designed'. Nimbus was designed from the opposite direction.
ZÆT developed the full visual design and 3D engineering model for Nimbus — a compact frame geometry with fully integrated battery and motor, resolved component interfaces, and a surface language that communicates intentionality rather than compromise. The 3D engineering model was developed to a level of detail that would support prototype development directly, with colourway renders produced across the full design to communicate the concept for internal review and potential partner discussions.
