E-Vision — Single Person E-Car

The single-person e-car occupies a gap that neither the electric bike nor the conventional electric car adequately serves: a weatherproof, enclosed, efficient personal vehicle for urban commuting that is genuinely sized for one person rather than being a downsized four-seater. ZÆT developed this concept applying the full industrial design, engineering, and CMF capability of the studio to a vehicle category with significant commercial potential as urban mobility legislation evolves.

The project covered four areas. Industrial design: the full exterior and interior design of the vehicle, balancing aerodynamic efficiency with a distinctive visual identity suited to the urban environment. 3D modelling: a complete digital model of the vehicle developed to the level of detail needed for aerodynamic analysis, CMF specification, and engineering development. Aerodynamics analysis: airflow simulation and drag coefficient assessment, with specific recommendations for form adjustments that improve efficiency without compromising the design intent. CMF: a complete colour, material, and finish strategy covering exterior bodywork, interior surfaces, glazing, and details — developed to production-supplier briefing standard.
