Solara — Fat-Tire Adventure eMTB
An all-terrain electric mountain bike taken from brief through to validated physical prototype.
The Solara is a fat-tire electric mountain bike for adventure riding. The brief called for all-terrain capability with an adventure character — not a competition aesthetic, but the feel of an object built for going further.
ZÆT led the full design process. Frame geometry resolved fat-tire clearances, motor integration, and battery placement. The adventure aesthetic was developed as a deliberate design direction in colour, graphics, and form. The prototype was tested across mixed terrain — ride validation, suspension response, and structural assessment under adventure riding loads.
