CY:ONS was founded to reimagine electric vehicle components — not incremental improvements to existing systems, but fundamentally different approaches to how ebike drivetrains, batteries, and displays work and interact. ZÆT was engaged as full execution partner, responsible for taking the CY:ONS component platform from innovation concepts through to defined product architecture, manufacturer relationships, investor materials, and market-ready product definitions.
The component platform spans four product lines. The Air-E Drive is CY:ONS's flagship drivetrain innovation — a next-generation system that asks different questions about how power moves through an ebike. Universal batteries provide cross-compatible energy storage designed to work across CY:ONS products and third-party platforms. Smart displays deliver the connected interface layer. Conversion kits enable existing bikes to access the CY:ONS platform, expanding the addressable market beyond new vehicle sales.
ZÆT led the full ZEF cycle: product architecture definition, engineering specification, European regulatory compliance mapping, supplier sourcing, brand positioning, and go-to-market execution including the cy-ons.com digital presence and OEM partnership pipeline.
