CY:ONS — 2-in-1 Vehicle
Exploring and validating a transformable vehicle concept from multiple directions to a defined, presentable product.
The CY:ONS 2-in-1 vehicle is a transformable adaptive mobility concept — a single vehicle capable of operating in two distinct modes. The brief asked ZÆT to take that concept from an idea to something that could be presented: a sketched and feasibility-validated product direction that communicates clearly to investors and partners what the 2-in-1 is, what it does, and how it works.
ZÆT led the design sketching phase — generating multiple concept directions that explored different approaches to the 2-in-1 transformation mechanism, each tested against the engineering constraints that make a transformable vehicle viable. The engineering feasibility analysis ran in parallel: assessing the structural requirements of the transformation joint, the load paths in each mode, and the mechanism complexity that the manufacturing process can support.
A selected concept direction was refined through the sketch phase with engineering constraints integrated into the design, and a product presentation was developed to communicate the 2-in-1 vehicle concept to CY:ONS's stakeholder and investor audience.
