About ZÆT
Shaping smarter, greener cities one bike at a time
Founded in 2020 as a boutique consultancy, ZÆT spent its early years collaborating with leading bicycle brands to design and develop award-winning e-bike innovations. Through these partnerships, we discovered that the way people access electric bikes in cities often fell short: fleets were fragmented, availability was unpredictable, and local businesses weren’t involved in the process.
A New Path
Through our partnerships, we learned how fragmented fleets, unpredictable availability, and minimal local-business involvement often hampered urban e-bike access. Riders frequently found themselves stranded, and sidewalks cluttered with idle units.
By 2024, conversations with city leaders and riders confirmed the need for a different approach; one that combined reliable design, community support, and actionable data. In early 2025, ZÆT pivoted to become a subscription-based e-bike provider built on three core pillars: exceptional design, seamless maintenance through neighborhood shops, and data insights for smarter urban planning.
