Carbon MTB — Concept
Full design, composite engineering, and concept visualisation for a carbon mountain bike concept — a frame where the carbon layup logic drives the form and the engineering is the aesthetic.
Carbon fibre frames are the most technically demanding structures in bicycle design — every tube profile, every layup direction, every joint geometry is a structural decision as much as an aesthetic one. The Carbon MTB concept was developed to explore what happens when composite engineering logic drives the design from the beginning.
ZÆT developed the full concept: industrial design establishing form and proportion, composite engineering defining tube profiles, layup schedules, and joint geometries, and high-quality concept visualisation communicating both. The engineering decisions are visible in the design — tube profiles vary by load path, joint geometries reflect layup logic. A carbon frame that could only be carbon.
